Raised in Houston, Texas and now based in New York City, guitarist Robert Wolf is in pursuit of etching his way into the improvised music scene, quickly establishing himself as equally comfortable in the jazz, bluegrass and rock idioms.  As a result of having toured in a ska band, recorded with country bands, sung extended renderings of Hava Nagila, and playing solo guitar recitals, Robert is realizing his musical identity organically through his experiences to date. His debut album, set to be released in the spring of 2015—featuring pianist Don Friedman, bassist Ron McClure and guitarist Peter Bernstein—will bring this objective to fruition.

Robert will graduate from New York University next year with a Masters in Jazz Studies, where he is also adjunct faculty.
